Luna Data Solutions is seeking a Sr Network Engineer for a long‑term contract in Austin. 12 month duration initially, should extend in 12 month increments. 100% Onsite, location North Austin (78754). The client has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to participate in upgrading a major communication network. The position will act as the primary liaison in the development and updating of cyber security policies. Will be responsible for: Programming and maintaining the main core switches Implementing a deployment plan for the 900+ EtherWAN switches Setting up and maintaining a Radius server Setting up an SNMP management system Evaluating/revising security policies as appropriate to meet industry security standards. Working with clients to implement Active Directory Authentication, Federation for users outside of the client Required: CCNA, Cisco and Meraki Preferred: CCNP, previous Military experience *** Candidates must be able to pass an extensive fingerprinting background check *** This is contract opportunity based in Austin TX and no sponsorship can be provided.
