Job Description

Forge Fire is looking for an experienced metal and building fabricator to join our mighty and collaborative team configuring metal fire training structures in our Bucyrus, Ohio facility.This is a flexible, do-it-all role. Reporting to our production manager with support from our Assembly Team Lead.You will accurately measure and mark materials to ensure precise assembly. Perform welding tasks (MIG) to secure structural components. Operate plasma cutters, angle grinders, nippers, and other fabrication tools for custom modifications. Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. Ensure work meets quality and safety standards. Assist in positioning, aligning, and securing materials during assembly. Conduct inspections to confirm proper assembly and fitment of parts. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines. Meet high standards of quality, safety, productivity, and professionalism.QualificationsAbility to read and interpret architectural plans and shop drawingsSkill using hand and metal working tools along with construction equipment safely and efficientlyPhysical stamina and ability to lift heavy objectsMechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues Positive problem-solving skills and adaptability 2+ years of MIG welding experienceAbility to follow instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detailA commitment to workplace safety practices and esprit de corpsPreferred skillsOSHA 10 or 30 certificationForklift or equipment operation experienceBackground in commercial, modular, or prefab constructionForge Fire & Company is a rapidly growing manufacturer of custom modular buildingscrafted from shipping containers and designed to withstand the toughest training environments.
