Job Description: The Assistant/Associate Director, Athletics Annual Giving reports the Director, Annual & Leadership Giving/Assistant Athletics Director and is responsible for the solicitation of Boston College alumni, parents and friends capable of annual gifts greater than $1,000 and up to $24,999. The Assistant Director manages a portfolio of 150 or more donors, premium seat holders and prospects. In addition, the Assistant Director will help lead donor benefit fulfillment including but not limited to premium seating, parking and tickets as well as database management and telephone support for inquiries through the Flynn Fund main line. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The salary range for this position is listed below with the final salary based on various factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and internal equity considerations. Assistant Director: $59,400 - $74,250 First Level Associate Director: $65,560 - $81,950 Second Level Associate Director: $72,480 - $90,600 Requirements This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of fundraising experience or a combination of some fundraising and other directly related experience, with demonstrated ability to close gifts of $1,000 to $10,000 or more at the Assistant Director level. The Associate Director requires 2-3 years of professional level frontline fundraising experience at the first level and 3-4 years at the second level. A proven record of soliciting and closing annual cash gifts of $10,000 or more at the first level Associate Director and $10,000 to $25,000 or more at the Associate Director level, preferably in a higher education environment, is required. Determination of job level and compensation will be commensurate with experience. The Assistant/Associate Director is required to demonstrate consistent and highly professional behavior, have excellent spoken, written, and interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to speak and write persuasively about higher education and the Jesuit tradition in particular. Travel, evening, and weekend work is required to fulfill responsibilities. A valid driver’s license is required. Proficiency with technology and relevant software applications, such as Google applications and the MS Office suite is also expected. Frequent evening and weekend work is required. Attendance at all home football games (7) is required and most basketball and hockey (30+) games will also be necessary. In addition, attendance at periodic special events is required. Must be a team player who is highly motivated and dedicated to the goals of advancing higher education and have an appreciation for Jesuit Catholic education and the goals and values of Boston College.
